Banksy abuse

NEW Journal reporter Pavan Amara reported recently how people stop at the Banksy artwork on a wall in Jeffrey’s Street, Camden Town, and do more than take a picture. They’ve been spotted on CCTV throwing stuff at it (even though it’s behind a protective perspex screen), snarling at it, hanging off the frame, that kind of thing. Clearly, not everybody likes the addition to the previously white wall at the junction of Camden Street – nor the measures that have been undertaken to protect it.

…and just look at the lengths the haters have gone to this time: this week a hole has been drilled  into the perspex screen (it looks a bit Wild West, let’s hope it wasn’t shot through) and trickles of black paint splodge over the cartoon boy.
