STILL here, still awake. Five cups of strong black stuff. And we have come full circle in the briefings. Ed Fordham was the bookies favourite going into the last day. As the count began tonight, Chris Philp seemed to be in the lead. And now, sensible people are saying Glenda Jackson – who has faced so many warnings that her MP days are over – is going to pull of a great escape. The Labour vote was far harder than even their own canvassers thought. It swings this way and that, but nobody here now is ruling out the idea that she may just take to the stage as a winner in a couple of hours.
