The YouTube War: Tamsin Omond
SO, we’ve seen Ed Fordham, Chris Philp, George Lee, Jo Shaw, et al stumbling about giving YouTube a go… but here’s a campaign flick with a difference. Tamsin Omond, the independent/The Commons candidate for Hampstead and Kilburn, doesn’t bother with all of that key messages babbled furiously into to camera business.
After all, who wants to be lectured by a man in a suit on YouTube, when there’s videos of cats opening doors, popcorn being cooked by mobile phones and exploding fizzy pop bottles vying for your attention. And what’s the point in reading out your manifesto in full, when you can simply get Agent Provocateur model Daisy Lowe tottering around in the highest heels she can find, clearing up rubbish in Belsize Park? I bet this one gets more views than even Lynne Featherstone’s broken train ticket machines.
Question remains: If Tamsin is elected, will this happen everyday? And will Daisy get a London Living Wage for refuse collection. We deserve to be told…
