A challenge for Sam Gyimah

February 15, 2012

ANYBODY in Kilburn remember Sam Gyimah? He unsuccessfully stood to be a councillor wearing a blue rosette in the ward – not the easiest place to do that – back in 2006.

In this video Sam, now the Conservative MP for Surrey East but still known to party colleagues in the Hampstead branch, can be seen copping it with both barrels from ‘the public’ in a BBC debate in Salford. Asked whether he fancies spending a week in the north west on benefits, he rather gets drowned out in the anger. ‘Stop being a politician’, he is ordered. A tough gig.
